In many cultures the mum is a flower of mourning; in others it is joyful. I mourn the loss of books yet
I celebrate the digitizing of lost volumes. Using interpretations of mum, the folded pages silence the
words to form individual teardrops; the grouped teardrops form petals of a blooming flower.
