Unstable Terrain explores multiple aspects of the American involvement in the Iraq War. The piece addresses topics of perception, mapping, truth, consequence, individual responsibility and media control. Levels of abstraction of data, coding of content, layering of multiple meanings and manipulation of collective memories are woven into every surface of the installation. Unstable Terrain poses unconsidered questions, exposes the control of access to information and provides an alternate truth to the viewer.
