rethos is a reaction to a metropolitan area of 300,000 people that has yet to provide a city wide recycling program.

Made primarily of materials that were bound for the landfill, rethos temporarily recycles those materials in an installation that requests a rethinking of the city's underlying sentiment and belief in the economics of refuse over recycling.
