Diamonds-in-the-Sky is a participatory memorial tasked with involving the public in remembering the fallen Coalition Force soldiers. The project is composed of 3 main components: initial installation for distribution, online community and project documentation. Each movable, magnetized star has the name, age and date of death of a soldier. The intent is to have the stars move into and around communities having chance encounters much like the individual could have if alive. An online forum tracks the location of the stars and provides a discussion area for the participants.
